Hello everyone,
Another week of racquetball is in the books as we approach the midway point of the season! Thank you all for showing up and/or making up games ahead of time.
Updated standing and recap posted below!
Vanessa (3-0) vs Maggie (0-3)
Starting things off this week we had undefeated Vanessa looking to maintain her firm grasp on the leagues top spot while Maggie tries to pull of the upset and get in the win column. Vanessa got off to a hot start taking the early lead and eventually the 15-8 win in game one. Game two was more of the same although Maggie made Vanessa work for it with some long volleys and trading serves, Vanessa remains undefeated after she takes game two 15-6.
Jolanta (1-1) vs Stephanie (2-1)
Jolanta and Stephanie matched up for the first time this season and Jolanta was able to pull out a win taking the first game 15-1 and the second game 15-4. Jolanta improves to 2-1 while Stephanie falls to 2-2.
Christiana (2-1) vs Glo (1-2)
Christiana and Glo battled it out as they sit side by side in the standings. In a closely contested first game Glo got the 15-12 win, moving into the second game Glo turned up her game a notch and managed to get the 15-9 win despite Christiana putting up some great volleys. Glo overtakes Christiana in the standings moving to 2-2.
Jenn (0-2) vs Kat (2-1)
In our last match of the week Jenn and Kat played a three game epic! To start things off Kat and Jenn battled back and forth with Kat getting the narrow 15-13 win. Game two Jenn was able to hold off Kat and take the 15-12 win to force a game three.
