Hello everyone,
Week four is in the books, and with it came some fun matchups and some great games! We're already approaching the midway point of the season, so be sure to get any makeup games scheduled as soon as possible. We want to avoid cramming in games the final week of the season since the court will be very limited across the the four leagues.
Moving forward, any player that doesn't show up for a scheduled game without communicating ahead of time will result in a forfeit for that game. This will be reflected in the standings at 15-0 and 0-2 having a significant impact on the standings overall.
Taylor (2-1) vs Tony (0-3)
Starting things off this week we had Tony and Taylor facing off for the first time this season. If you don't remember these two have a history of battles on the court including an epic first round playoff matchup in last years Bronze league. This one would be no different as the first game came down to the wire after Tony jumped out to 11-3 lead Taylor went on a 12-1 run to close the game winning 15-12. In the second game Taylor got the win 15-3 despite some long volleys and a lot of back and forth on the serve.
Peter (1-1) vs Deanna (1-2)
Forfeit: Deanna wins 15-0 x2 and notches a win in the standings.
Patrick (0-3) vs Richard (3-0)
Patrick is back in the racquetball court! He is taking over for Dana who is out for the season due to injury. In his first match back he had the unfortunate task of taking on the first place and undefeated Richard. Richard was on a roll in the first game cruising to a 15-0 win, in game two Patrick started to get back into the swing of things gaining the serve multiple times and putting up a fight. Richard ultimately took the 15-1 win and maintains his undefeated record.
Darren (3-0) vs Brock (1-1)
Darren and Brock faced off in an excellent matchup. Darren trying to stay undefeated took his first loss of the season losing game one 15-10 and Brock didn't let up in game two securing the overall match win in two games with a 15-11 victory.
Mel (1-1) vs Alissa (1-2)
In what had to be the most entertaining matchup of the week was Mel and Alissa both looking to move up in the standings. The first game was a wild one that came down to a score of 16-14 favoring Mel while the second game went back and forth Mel came out on top with the 15-6 victory.
See you all next week!
