WEEK 7
Our greatest apologies, this email got stuck in the servers of Seward's Parks and Rec Department and it did not go out on time. None the less, the schedule is below!
Well folks the last week of regular volleyball season has come to an end, here’s what went down. This was probably my favorite week of volleyball cause you guys were on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bumpin N Swingin vs. Seal the Deal
Bumpin N Swingin and Seal the Deal enter this match after both tragically lost (forfeited) last week's matches. I would say the pain from their losses made this match absolutely insane!!!!!!!!!!!! Both teams played incredibly and I could not get over it, some of the best volleyball of the season! Seal the Deal sealed their spot in the playoffs after winning this match.
Tony’s Bar vs. We Bribed the Ref
Fueled after last week’s win (it happened cause a forfeit but it was still a win) We Bribed the Ref brought me a piece of fudge and a little lion eraser. Although this week’s bribe was pretty good it had no effect on the outcome of the game, but they played their ebay game of the season! Tony’s wasn’t fully ready to have to play to the best of their ability this match but they pulled off a win after three sets.
Blockbusters vs. Sweet Digs
The Blockbusters entered this week’s match with a fire, ready to play. They played with a newfound vigor, hungry to win again after last week’s win. This was one of their best matches of the season, they put up a real fight against Sweet Digs. Sweet Digs does mess around though and denies the Blockbusters this win, finishing the match after two sets.
This was the perfect way to end the regular season! The standings and playoffs schedule will be below, congrats to the teams that made it, see you on Wednesday!
