Week 2
Hello all! Welcome to week 2 of Dancing with the Stars! This week our fresh-faced players with their fastest kicks and increased hand eye coordination fought to take a lead in the standings. While we are still waiting for the match between Tony and Kat, the other players took to the dance floor and showed us what they are working with.
Alissa vs Christiana
Alissa, no newbie to the racquetball court, took the lead in this week's game. While Christiana performed gracefully to Bob Marleys’s “No Woman No Cry”, she was outperformed by Alissa who stunned the crowd with her interpretive rendition of “Goodbye Earl” by the Dixie Chicks.
Amy vs Taylor
Amy came into this match boldly swinging-but also missing. After a heavy first round defeat she looked deep within herself and performed a stunning “Pink Pony Club” en pointe. However this was no match for Taylor who had been making bird sounds so devotedly that everyone forgot that he never even had a dance to go with it.
Charity vs Daphne
Our final match of the week found a close match-up between Charity and Daphne. Charity took a slight lead in the first round only to stumble on her double front flip somersault in round 2. The last round though , Charity wowed with her hip hop version of Etta James “At Last” while Daphne’s “Down with the Sickness”, though a highly favored song by the judges, ultimately did not allow her to take home this win.
