Week 6 Recap

Week 6 brought another strong slate of games with one team possibly picking up their first win?! While another team’s quest for an undefeated season was put to the test. Let’s take a look at how all the action went down.

Runners (4-6) vs 907 Elite (10-0) Final Score: 59-80

This week's action tipped off with another matchup between the Runners and 907 Elite,  the Runners played an excellent first half jumping out to a 38-37 lead over the undefeated 907 Elite. Then the second half happened… 907 Elite outscored the Runners 43-21 in the 2nd with Coop scoring 22 and Dee playing the facilitator scorer role pouring in 14. On the other side Mykel dropped 28 points for the Runners keeping pace as the league's leading scorer.

ILWU (0-10) vs AVTEC (6-4) Final Score: 52-51

Arguably the closest and most entertaining game of the season ended in dramatic fashion. ILWU got their first win of the season off a last second midrange jumper from Jack and AVTEC had no answer for Bjornn’s dominance in the paint. Bjornn finished the game scoring 30 of the team's 52 points. As for AVTEC, Nic led the team with 18 points followed by Jamen with 16. Congratulations to ILWU for getting their first win of the season!

907 Elite (11-0) vs AVTEC (6-5) Final Score: 67-55

907 Elite came into this matchup off another win looking to maintain their firm grip as the league’s best, while AVTEC was hungry for a bounceback win after a loss to ILWU on Tuesday. The matchup was closely contested throughout the majority of the game but 907 Elite walked away with another win off a season high 19 points from Dee, while Nic on the other side did his thing scoring 23 for AVTEC.

ILWU (1-10) vs Runners (4-7) Final Score: 62-73

ILWU coming off their first win of the season earlier in the week looked hungry for another win, while the Runners were ready for a bounceback game. The contest was a close game throughout but the Runners walked away with their 5th win of the season, leaving ILWU with another loss despite 32 points from Bjornn.
