Hello Rec Wreckers!!

Happy completion of week 4. As I was in the lower 48 I was getting play by plays of the greatness that you all showed on Tuesday. Claire very graciously gave us some A+ write ups, so even though we look astonishingly alike, give her some kudos next time you see her (not me).

Mel vs. Christiana

Christiana and Mel came into this game full of giggles and excitement. The first match started off playful, but picked up quickly once Mel got in her zone. The second match came around and Christiana fired off some fast serves right to the bottom of the back wall. She put up a strong 8 points on the board, almost taking the lead, but Mel got back in her jam and took the second set. Excited to see what these two do next week.

Alissa vs. Daphne

This game had me on the edge of my seat! Alissa and Daphne were so evenly matched I couldn’t tell you who was going to win until the very last point was scored. Alissa took the first match by a clean 5 points. Daphne responded by turning up the heat and dominating the second match 15-2. The 3rd set went back and forth for quite some time. We didn’t know who was going to take the win until Daphne tapped in and took the game by 4 points. Great job y’all!

Charity vs. Lukas

As soon as this Auntie and Nephew duo stepped on the court I knew it was going to be a great game. Lukas had already played his game with Alissa, but he kept up the super hero-like slides no problem. These two looked like they were out having fun on the court and enjoying the game. Lukas ended up narrowly taking the win, beating charity 14-15 that first game and 12-15 on the second. These two have been coming in to practice so we can’t wait to see what they bring to the court in the coming weeks.

Make Up Game

Lukas vs. Alissa

Alissa and Lukas decided to do their make up this week and wow this was one heck of a game. They went back and forth with the score freezing at multiple points. After some solid shots to the back corner, Alissa was able to hold on to the serving position and took the lead winning both matches. An impressive win against a skilled opponent like Lukas after just playing a three round match with Daphne. Can’t wait to see how far this type of stamina takes these two players this season.
