News: Volleyball Competetive League: Week 3

WEEK 3
Week 3 has come and gone folks. I think it’s safe to say that this week of matches are so far the best this season has offered us. 

Sealife Seastars vs. Spikalogical Warfare
Despite it all the Sealife Seastars have been not only showing up on game day, but also to practice throughout the week. Although they haven’t won yet they continue to do better and better each time. All season long Spikalogical Warfare has been waiting for their chance to win, and they were rewarded with that. This has been the best they’ve looked all season, and that hard work paid off. 

Sweet Digs vs. Bumpin’ Uglies
Bumpin’ Uglies showed up this week ready to walk away with their third win of the season. Unfortunately they forgot that they were playing Sweet Digs this week. Both teams gave it their all and kept each other on their toes. In the end Bumpin’ Uglies lost their title of undefeated and Sweet Digs walked away victorious.  

Tony’s Bar vs. Seal the Deal 
Seal the Deal won. Both of these teams have been playing hard all season long, so of course this match went to three sets. Watching this match was beautiful and it was difficult to make sure that I was paying attention as a referee. But of course calls were made and the match was won after three long sets by Seal the Deal. 

After much debate (mainly complaining) this week the net will be taken down a couple inches (cause men’s height is too tall but women’s is too short, so I’m giving you guys a happy medium), so I hope to see more hits and serves go over the net this week.
