WEEK 2
Welcome back to Seward Sports News, the second week of the Rec Volleyball League has come to pass. It was an eventful week of close matches. Here's the scoop on what went down…
The Misfits vs. Diesel Diggers
The Misfits and the Diesel Diggers played a quick but close match with the Diesel diggers taking the win in both sets. However, despite the past two losses, the Misfits have shown no sign of defeat in their hearts. We have a feeling they will be going into next week's match ready for their redemption.
Setsy and We Know It vs. The Mahmoodies
These two teams were well matched and played a back and forth three set game. Setsy And We Know It started taking the lead with some laser sharp serving skills and didn’t let up. Setsy ended up winning the match with a lead of 6 points in the third set. Setsy and I Know it is now the only team in the league with two wins under their belt. This is definitely the team to be watching out for this season.
Lord Scorpion Vipers vs. We Showed Up
This game had us on the edge of our seats! Lord Scorpion Viper came in with fire in their eyes after last week's loss, while We Showed Up came in ready to show up once again after their recent win. The first set was close with We Showed up coming out on top by just four points. Lord Scorpion Viper responded by turning up the heat and winning the next set by eight points. Lord Scorpion Viper kept that tempo going and ended up taking the overall win with the third set. Very excited to see what these two teams bring onto the court next week.
