News: Volleyball Recreational League: Week 1

WEEK 1

Breaking Seward Sports News, this week was the official start of the 2025 Fall Recreational Volleyball League. This year we have six teams competing, all ready to have a good time, and of course play volleyball. 

Lord Scorpion Vipers v. Setsy and We Know It
This year’s season started off with a match between the Lord Scorpion Viper and Setsy and We Know It. Setsy and We Know It did take home the win in a very close nail biting game. What a fantastic way to start the season! Make sure to keep these two teams on every one's radar this season. 

We Showed Up Again v. Misfits
The next two teams are not new to the league but have brought a new sense of laughter to the court. The Misfits are made up of a lively bunch of people that are putting in the work on the court. We are expecting great things from them throughout the season. We Showed Up Again has informed me that they will continue to show up again, and again, and again and this game proved that this method is working as they left with a win under their belt.  

Diesel Diggers v. Mahmoodies   
The last match of the night was the Diesel Diggers and the Mahmoodies. Both teams have a good balance of players that know what they’re doing and those that are new to the sport. The Mahmoodies took home the win after a match that started with some slight confusion but ended with both teams looking like well oiled machines. 

Overall our first Monday back was all giggles and fun, we will see you guys next Monday. Have a great day and please remember to watch that yellow line when serving!
