My Radiant Robust Remarkable Recreational Racquetball Players,
It is filling me with absolute joy to briefly commemorate the start of our season with these silly willy little write ups. Don't worry, they will only get weirder and more excessive. Alas, here we go!
Mel vs. Lukas
Lukas and Mel kicked off the Rec league with a bang! No really, Mel took an involuntary dive after hiking Mount Alice that day, and according to Ron looked like a baby that was surprised by their own fall. Nevertheless with a raspberry on her knee and crooked glasses, she somehow pulled out the W’s for the night. Lukas dished out countless impossible corner shots while literally sliding across the court, leaving Mel with her jaw on the floor where her crumbled body once was.
Christiana vs. Alissa
Alissa and Christiana hit the court with a fervor unlike any other, and battled it out relentlessly with smiles on their faces. Christiana was hitting killer dinger shots to the corners, rendering Alissa aghast. With her toddler cheering her on behind the glass, Alissa sent the ball whizzing past Christiana’s head, slaying her opponent and landing her in the first place standing after week 1.
