What do you call an electrician, sailor, handyman, kayak guide and a dog dad to two of the cutest fluffballs in town? We call him Kyle! That’s who we’ll be focusing on in this edition of the Seward Parks and Rec staff spotlight.
This was Kyle’s second summer season in Seward and first at Parks and Rec. He’s heading south for the winter, but we sure look forward to seeing him back up here in the near future!
If you know Kyle, you probably call him a friend. If you don’t know him, but get the chance to meet him, you’ll immediately feel like you’ve made a new friend. He’s the definition of cool and laid back, always smiling and having a good time. Nothing seems to get in his way of enjoying life. Even if it’s helping a friend do unpaid difficult labor for an entire day, Kyle finds the joy in life and can be heard chuckling his deep laugh to so many jokes.
An electrician by trade, Kyle can help you with virtually any electric problem, and he's also a wizard with any tool in his hand. His knowledge of this came in handy in keeping up with maintenance campgrounds and around the parks during the busy summer months.
In his off time, Kyle spends his time with his equally positive wife Ali and his two loving pups, Buoy and Laila. Over the past few years they have developed a real passion for sailing. Though they couldn’t bring their sailboat up here, Kyle found a way to create his own sailboat, called the kayakmaran. His passion for music seems to also shape who he is and he can be found listening to most live music around town or rocking out himself on the keyboard.
There’s so much we could say about this positive guy! We were so happy to have him this summer and are thankful for all his hard-work!
