Think you are the best back country chef? Come test your skills at the Second Seward Camp Stove Cook off, Saturday July 19th at Branson Pavilion at 5:00pm.
$30 Entry fee. Receive a 50L dry back pack.
Public entrance will be on donation
Rules:
-Two Chefs per team
-Food will be provided and prepared by Parks and Recreation but Chef's must show up with cooking supplies and camp stoves.
-All equipment that you are using for the cook off must be able to fit within the 50L dry bag.
*You may pick up the dry bag the day before and up until 5:30pm the day of the cook off
-There must be 10 ample servings of food served in small portions. (Serving dishes will be provided)
-The competition will start at 6pm with the unveiling of the ingredients, and cooking will commence at 6:15pm
-Chefs will have until 7:15pm to cook their dish.
-Chefs will be judged by local judges on the taste, presentation and creativity, and donations will be accepted from the public for tastings- all proceeds will benefit the Seward He Will Provide Food Pantry.
Prizes will be given to 1st and 2nd place!
