2026 Dan Seavey TrailBlazer 5k Dog Run Volunteers
Seward Parks and Recreation and the TrailBlazers have teamed up for an annual dog race! We need your help to make sure that is a safe and fun race for all in attendance.
All positions will meet at Race HQ located at the Iditarod Monument on the waterfront at 9am
Traffic Control
The Seward Police, Fire and Parks and Recreation Departments cover our most important intersections. However, we require a large amount of volunteers to cover the rest of the course. Dress according to what the weather calls for. Expect to stand at your position from 10am to 1:00pm. Safety vest and flag are provided at Race HQ. Though specific intersections are listed, we commonly reassign our volunteers during race week to make sure the course has an even spread of volunteers.
Registration Table
Individuals that function well in high-stress quick-paced environments will fit in well here! Check racers in, hand them their bib, and let them know needed information at check-in.
An email will be sent out the week of the event to establish a meeting time before the race so we can do a safety briefing and give you instructions.
