Pink Cheeks Volunteer

Pink Cheeks Triathlon is the largest, and most complex event put on annually by Seward Sports and Recreation. We have several opportunities for volunteers to fill in. We will have a lunch provided and smiles will be going all around! See which position best fits your skill set and build your community today!

Traffic Control
The Seward Police, Fire and Parks and Recreation Departments cover our most important intersections. However, we require a large amount of volunteers to cover the rest of the course. Dress according to what the weather calls for. Expect to stand at your position from 9:30am to 11:30am. Safety vest and flag are provided at Race HQ. Though specific intersections are listed, we commonly reassign our volunteers during race week to make sure the course has an even spread of volunteers.

Pool Lap Timer
Record participants lap times using a pen, paper and stop watch. We have different time slots for our lap timers, though we encourage volunteers to take two blocks of time if possible. The pool is warm and muggy, so dress accordingly! If you have an indoor flip flop to keep your feet dry - that may make you more comfortable.

Pool Time Runner
Collect the Master Time list from the Pool Manager and run it to our Professional Race Timer. If you like to move around a bit, this may be the best fit for you!

Race HQ Photographer
If you have either a professional or hobbyist background in photography, our program is always greatly benefited by a dedicated photographer for marketing.

An email will be sent out the week of the event to establish a meeting time before the race so we can do a safety briefing and give you instructions.

Thank you in advance for your dedication to making this the best Pink Cheeks Triathlon ever!
