Welcome to the Volunteer Program with Seward Parks and Recreation!Steps to volunteering with SPRD:
1. Sign up for the Volunteer Membership
2. Request an escort to the Seward Police Department with an SPRD staff member for a 3-year background check. Background checks ensure the safety of our volunteers and program participants. You can either do this throughout the year by request, or join SPRD in March on Mondays at 2pm for weekly escorts to the station.
Note: You will need two forms of ID. The best two to bring are driver's license and passport. If you do not have a passport, some document that has your signature will do. Both must be original documents. 3. Keep an eye out on our Volunteer Program page for opportunities to sign up and volunteer! If you volunteer 5 times within a year, you will earn an annual membership to AVTEC gym.
